Toward low-emission mobility
Environmental awareness and reducing consumption are the top priorities. Italtrans, with €22.5 million invested in 2023 to renew its fleet and experiment with more sustainable fuels such as electric and HVO, is at the forefront of reducing atmospheric emissions.
HVO, a hydrotreated vegetable oil recovered from waste material according to the principles of the circular economy, is used in many of the fleet’s vehicles. More conscious consumption management is also pursued by the “Cojali” project, which uses artificial intelligence to monitor the efficiency of tractors by performing remote diagnostics to take preventive action on possible risk situations, improve safety, and collect valuable information on driving performance.
Transportation of fresh-cut produce
The transport of refrigerated cargo requires transport solutions that guarantee the integrity and freshness of products at every stage of the distribution process. Thanks to the acquisition of its partner Frigor Trasporti Orobico, the Group has further specialized in the transport of temperature-controlled products.
