We have decided to invest in automation in our warehouses to optimize sustainability, improving the management of market demands, the efficiency of order preparation times, the use of storage space, the handling of heavy packages by operators, and minimizing the risk of human error.

AUTOMATED HIGH-DENSITY WAREHOUSE

Pallets coming from the production plants are carried into the intensive storage automated warehouse by 13 shuttles. Intelligent logistics software allocates the goods according to size, weight and volume, until the retrieval.
This system is used for heavy and bulky goods that need to be stored quickly and safety optimizing space.

Mini-Load

SINGLE PACKAGE MANAGEMENT WITH CARGO TO THE OPERATOR

Launched in 2019 for the management of low-turnover items, the miniload warehouse handles up to 3,000 stock items, stored either loose or in boxes. At the time of picking, the software tracks the items and, via conveyor belts, delivers them to the operator who packages them according to a pattern provided by the program itself.

ORDER PREPARATION WITH ROBOTIC GRIPPERS AND AUTONOMOUS LASER-GUIDED VEHICLES

Opened in 2021, the facility manages the preparation of orders for high-turnover beverage items using anthropomorphic robotic grippers. Pallet blocking operations (up to 45 simultaneous) are regulated by a “best fitting” algorithm to identify the optimal sequence of packages. Pallets are handled by automatic laser-guided vehicles.

AUTOMATED VENTILATION FOR FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

Inside the section tested in 2023, 12 robots and 20 laser-guided vehicles sort fruit and vegetable items (placed in plastic crates suitable for handling with automated systems) to prepare orders for individual stores, both on pallets and on rolls.

AUTOMATED MOBILE RACKING SYSTEM

COMPACTABLE SHELVING FOR INTENSIVE STORAGE

Two refrigerated cells with 9,000 pallet spaces are equipped with automated mobile racking system to maximise storage space. Cell equipment is completed with gravity flow racking to manage single-item picking by the operator.
