ITALTRANS National Security Center
Italtrans is now a model of excellence in logistics security.
Calcinate, November 6, 2025 – In a setting where modern logistics requires not only efficiency but also maximum reliability in protecting goods, Italtrans S.p.A. stands out for its strategic vision and significant investments that have led to the creation of the innovative National Security Center.
A new-generation operations center, active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, staffed by a dedicated and highly qualified team; at the core of the system is an information platform that, thanks to advanced AI algorithms, allows for comprehensive control of the company’s facilities.
Through this infrastructure, Italtrans is now able to:
- Constantly monitor warehouses and security systems with advanced, highly reliable technological systems;
- Coordinate the management of any critical events in a timely manner;
- Ensure the surveillance of yards and access points with tools capable of providing high-definition images (4K);
- Activate, when necessary, the intervention of security forces through established agreements with private security companies and direct collaboration with law enforcement agencies.
The software platform is UNI EN 50518 certified, GDPR compliant, and recognized by the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN), guaranteeing maximum reliability and full compliance with European standards on critical infrastructure protection and Legislative Decree 196. The National Security Center also fulfills the requirements of international ISO 28000 standards on security management systems for the supply chain and European Directive NIS 2, which imposes high standards of resilience and protection for operators of essential and/or important services in the large-scale retail sector.
The project was coordinated and implemented by E-Trade, a company belonging to the BB Holding group, of which Italtrans is a part, which provides consulting, administration, and security services to the holding company’s businesses. The company holds ATECO code 80.2 (passive surveillance) to offer customers who choose Italtrans the formal and substantial guarantee of entrusting their goods to an operator that not only manages logistics with excellence, but also takes direct responsibility for their safety.
The Center raises the quality of service in the goods protection chain to a new level in a company such as Italtrans, which has platforms distributed throughout the country.
With this model, Italtrans and E-Trade demonstrate in concrete terms that security is not an optional service, but rather a strategic pillar of the logistics chain, capable of ensuring operational continuity, protecting assets, and safeguarding customer trust.
